The 1,500 sq ft store on Mainguard Street gives FatFace its first foothold in the west of Ireland, adding to existing locations in towns in the south and east of the country. The new store stocks the brand’s latest collection alongside its core range.
The opening has created five permanent jobs, where team members will benefit from staff discounts, access to wellbeing services and flexible working opportunities.
Over the last few years, FatFace has been establishing a steady presence in Ireland, with the Galway store bringing its total to seven in the market. This expansion comes as the brand, acquired by Next in 2023, continues its venture to open physical stores. It currently has 175 stores in the UK.
Karen Johnston, stores director at FatFace, commented: “We are delighted to open our new store in Galway and continue growing our presence across Ireland.
“This new location allows us to bring our unique product offering to even more customers while maintaining our strong connection with local communities.”
FatFace is a B Corp certified brand selling womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories.
