In Brief: The Quality Inn Gallipolis has been acquired, reflecting the increased demand for lodging due to the economic expansion in the Ohio River Valley.
Laurel Real Estate Co. announces the sale of the 100-room Quality Inn in Gallipolis, Ohio.
Laurel Real Estate Co., a member of Hotel Brokers International (HBI), represented the seller in the transaction, with financing arranged by Peachtree Group.
The sale comes as southeastern Ohio and western West Virginia continue to attract significant industrial investment. Major projects, including the Nucor steel mill under construction in Apple Grove, West Virginia, alongside ongoing manufacturing, infrastructure, and energy-related development throughout the region, have contributed to increased commercial activity and lodging demand across the Ohio River Valley.
“Access to capital remains one of the most important factors in helping small business owners pursue growth opportunities,” said Dan Uhl, Vice President Originations, Government Lending for Peachtree Group. “Through our SBA lending platform, we support entrepreneurs in acquiring and growing businesses in markets supported by strong economic fundamentals. The continued growth across the Ohio River Valley reflects the type of long-term economic momentum that creates opportunities for business owners.”
The buyers recognized an opportunity to acquire a hospitality asset in a market benefiting from long-term economic expansion and sustained demand from contractors, project teams, business travelers, and other workforce-related lodging segments.
“Hospitality performance is ultimately tied to the health of the surrounding economy,” said Lauren D’Souza-Faze of Laurel Real Estate Co. “The Ohio River Valley continues to attract substantial investment, and transactions like this reflect investor confidence in markets supported by long-term job creation, industrial growth, and business activity.”
The acquisition reflects the impact of economic development on lodging demand, as investors continue to pursue hospitality opportunities in markets supported by employment growth and private-sector investment.
