Lifemiles, Avianca’s loyalty program, received the “Up and Coming Program Award,” recognizing it as the Breakout Loyalty Program of the Year, at the 2026 Freddie Awards.
Considered one of the industry’s most prestigious honors, the award is determined by customer votes and recognizes programs that deliver exceptional value to their members through compelling promotions, accessible pricing and continuous innovation across the loyalty experience.
With this achievement, Lifemiles further strengthens its leadership in the region, bringing its total to 23 international awards over its 15-year history, including 16 Freddie Awards. These honors have established Lifemiles as the region’s most awarded loyalty program and reaffirm its commitment to continuous innovation and providing members with a comprehensive rewards ecosystem.
“Once again, we have demonstrated that Lifemiles is one of the region’s leading loyalty programs. Receiving this recognition fills us with pride and reflects everything we have accomplished, and continue to do, to deliver the best possible value proposition to our members. We will continue working to provide even greater benefits and premium experiences to all our travelers and to those who trust us and choose Lifemiles to be part of both their everyday lives and their journeys,” said Jaime Manso, vice president of Loyalty and Lifemiles.
As part of its commitment to continuous evolution, Lifemiles has introduced several new benefits for members this year, including Magno Status, the highest tier of its Elite program designed exclusively for the program’s most valued members, which offers benefits such as Business Class upgrades on INSIGNIA routes, access to earlier flights, personalized assistance from Magno Executive agents at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, unlimited lounge access and priority Check-In, among other privileges, transforming the travel experience from beginning to end.
The program also recently opened its domestic and international Diamond VIP lounges at El Dorado International Airport, along with the exclusive INSIGNIA Check-In area, all designed to provide maximum comfort before every flight.
Continuing to receive international recognition at the Freddie Awards demonstrates just how important Lifemiles is to users in the region, as it is thanks to them that we are able to win these types of awards and that the program can continue to fulfill its mission of transforming every trip into an extraordinary experience and solidifying its position as the region’s largest rewards ecosystem.
