Drapers understands that Cerene is set to launch on 1 September, following its incorporation on Companies House on 8 December 2025.
Scorey Jobling will hold the role of chief executive officer at Cerene, which she has co-founded alongside its creative director Rebecca Nye.
Retail giant Next has supported the launch, with Companies House filings showing the fashion retailer owns 100 shares in the company at a nominal value of 1p. The extent of the financial backing remains unclear.
The filings also show Next CFO Jonathan Blanchard and group investments director Jeremy Stakol as Cerene company directors.
The news follows Scorey Jobling’s departure as COO at AllSaints last October after almost seven years in the role, as revealed by Drapers.
Nye most recently worked alongside Scorey Jobling at AllSaints as design director across women’s and men’s (2024-2025), and also previously held positions including head of womenswear design (2021-2024) and head of print (2019-2021) at the fashion retailer.
The pair also previously worked together during a stint at Ted Baker, where Scorey Jobling was womenswear director (2006-2018) and Nye took on roles including womenswear print manager and head of print between 2014 and 2019.
Scorey Jobling said in an Instagram post yesterday (08 June): “It all started with a desire to create a brand that was more reflective of who we [Scorey Jobling and Nye] are as individuals because we have both worked in businesses where we have had to build on a brand that already exists and we want to do it ourselves.”
Nye added: “We also have the freedom to be so involved with the product and be really hands on which is so joyful and just to fall in love with fashion again.”
